FOOTPRINT+ 2023 Round Up

Earlier this month Director Adam West and Architect Pippa McLeod-Brown went to Brighton to attend FOOTPRINT+ to hear from leading experts in the UK property industry discuss the latest innovations and practical steps needed to achieve Net Zero in the built environment. The programme and debates focused on the themes of decarbonization, circular economy, retrofit and timber construction. Our team found the overall atmosphere optimistic, and were inspired by the sessions on sustainable building materials and how to integrate environment, biodiversity, nature-inclusive design, form efficiency and Passivhaus principles into design strategies.

Pippa said, “It was fantastic to attend and we will use our key takeaways to inform CZWG's practice strategy to prioritise low-carbon and recycled materials and to develop ways to measure the whole-life carbon efficiency of our projects.”
